Hiii, hello!
This episode has a couple of fashion standouts, and also David Arquette. Monica makes a lot of jam and Phoebe crushes on her sister’s stalker. Totally normal thing, ya know!
First: Joey’s broken arm.
Matt LeBlanc injured himself jumping into the chair in TOW No One’s Ready, which left him in a sling for the next few episodes. Aaand how did Joey break it? Jumping on the bed, of course. That actually tracks for him. Anyway, there’s not much you can do with a monstrosity of a sling, but he kinda makes it work.
I wish we had seen more of this dress on Rachel.
It’s one of my favorites, so simple and ‘90s. And with the hair up? It reminds me of Mary Kate & Ashley in the best way.
The dress has this fun little pattern that’s very similar to a dress Monica wears in another scene. Monica also wears her hair up and it reminds me of friends sometimes morphing into each other. You know I’m a sucker for that!
I think Phoebe looks so good in purple.
This isn’t the first time this jacket has made an appearance, and it matches perfectly with the dress she layers under it. Her necklace layering, the dress collar over the jacket… all SO GOOD.
So, 2000s me loved a thick belt. So did late ‘90s Phoebe, apparently.
To wear it with this top was an interesting choice but I think it’s super cute. She was very cohesive this episode, with her jewelry color matching her top.
As if the belt thing didn’t remind me just how long ago this episode was enough, Malcom’s comment of “selling beepers and cellular phones” really did.
Other Thoughts
I looove Chandler’s rolled up sleeves here. It’s giving you have bewitched me, body and soul.
Little Miss Dairy Queen.
Okay, slay.

Oh that purple dress on Rachel! I just wore a Hawaiian one in this style! It’s so good.
This is peak “Rachel hair” era!
The oversized menswear of this era is in thrift stores now. Ginormous!
